Freeway Motorcycle Accident

On October 23, 2013, as I was riding my 2012 Yamaha R1, a driver was texting and merged into my lane without even looking up. I had just gotten off of I-10 Westbound and had gotten on I-17 Northbound. I then found myself apart from my bike on the freeway for about 300ft.
After I got some help getting my bike out of the middle of the freeway my mother parked about 10-12ft in front of my motorcycle in the hazard lane. We called several places including friends to come help from inside the car. Shortly after making a few calls we exited the car and my mother stood on the cement wall on the right of the freeway while I fiddled with my motorcycle to make sure everything was still functioning. Suddenly my mother yelled, "Brandon! Look out!!". I looked up and saw a van coming straight at me!! I painfully jumped out the way as the van missed me by a maximum of 8" and totaled my moms car. I had now almost died twice within an hour!!
My mothers car got airborne twice and then the driver turned back into the freeway to try to leave after totaling the car. He made it about 100 yards before his car wouldn't allow him to go any further.
We found out that the driver was completely drunk, had no insurance and told the officers, "I don't know where that car came from!" and thought that we jumped out at him!

When hell freezes over!! Phoenix will have snow!!

A lot of people use this term "When hell freezes over" and I think it might have happened. I've heard many people over the years say "Yea, ______ will happen when hell freezes over". Well today in Phoenix, Scottsdale and several other cities in the "Valley of the Sun" we received snow, rain, hail, and is some areas sleet. At my house I think all 4 were happening at the same time (which doesn't even happen in biblical text)! 2/20/2013 will be a day to remember in the history books. All week it has been in the 70s and above, but all I know is that I won't be driving or riding anywhere today...These people have trouble driving when it's nice out. When two drops of rain hit the ground it gets chaotic, I'm surprised that I haven't heard of an absurd amount of crashes happening.
